>> 1 cup dried mulberries
>> 1 cup dried fruit (see note below)
>> 1 cup your choice of nuts, coarsely chopped
>> 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
>> 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
>> 3/4 cup butter, melted
>> 6 tbsp. unpasteurized honey
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8x12 inch baking dish.
Combine the mulberries, fruit, nuts, oats, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add the melted butter and honey. Mix with a spatula until well-combined. Evenly spread the mixture into the baking dish, flatten down firmly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the mixture turns lightly golden brown.
Place baking dish on a wire rack until thoroughly cooled. Once cooled, chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
Keep squares in the fridge if storing for a few days.
Note: Use currants, aronias, Saskatoons, raisins, chopped dates, cranberries, blueberries, etc. (Be sure to cut larger dried fruit into smaller pieces.)
