>> For the fruit layer:
>> 8 small to medium sized apples (chopped small)

>> 1 tsp cinnamon
>> For the crumble layer:
>> 1 cup unbleached flour
>> 1 cup large rolled oats
>> 1/2 cup brown sugar
>> 1/8 cup ground pine needles
>> 1/2 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
To prepare the apple layer: Mix well all ingredients. Place in a lightly greased 11" x 7" glass baking dish.
To prepare the crumble top: Mix all the dry ingredients. Add the melted butter and either stir or use washed hands to ensure everything is blended well.
Sprinkle evenly on top of apple mixture then lightly pat down.
Place in oven for 20-25 minutes.
